My favorite character in this book is Mina. Mina is my favorite because she is bold and strong. Mina is the one who went to an Indian to get medicine for Papa. Mina is the one who went and got acorns. Mina is the one who went and got water for the men. Mina is the one who had to be bold when Papa left. She is the one who had to clean the cabin when Papa was gone. My favorite parts of the book is when Mina takes care of Papa,  when Papa marries Tanta Leset, and when Papa and Herr Kaufman put their money together and buy a wagon. It’s also when Mina, Papa, and the Kaufmans make it to Texas and when Mina meets Amaya and Cheif Custaleta and help Papa get well, when Papa brings Mina a milk cow and when Mina is excited to go to Texas.

A chihuahua lives over 16 years.

A chihuahua is the smallest breed of dogs.  It is tiny enough to fit in a purse.
